Hi Denise,
Thanks so much for the welcome and all the information! I will definitely
check out the human services list. I am very excited about a new job I just
accepted yesterday. I'll be the next executive director of an organization
that offers health education and recreational activities to promote health
lifestyles for blind people in Kentucky. I think the human services list may
be a very useful resource for me! Also, I do know Cathy Jackson, she's our
state affiliate president and a great lady! I'm glad you enjoyed her speech.
I'm hoping to go to national convention next year so I will definitely meet
you and many others then!

I'm Denise Shaible and I live in Sacramento, California.  Not to do any
Public Relations work here but, if you're into Public Health, you may want
to check out the Human Services Division.  Our President is Merry Schoch and
you can find her on the NFB.org site or I can give you her contact
information.  I enjoy knitting and safety pin beading.  I really want to
learn how to make jewelry, though.  Welcome to the list.  You'll love the
craft classes and meeting the crafters.  I don't know if you ever go to
National Convention but, Krafters Division has a craft show and business
meeting and that's a way to meet people who love crafts in person.  Again,
welcome.

By the way, since you're in Louisville, do you know Cathy jackson?  She was
our Keynote Speaker at the NFBC (National Federation of the Blind of
California) State Convention last weekend.  She gave a wonderful speech at
the Banquet.  Good luck with all of your crafting.
