[Nfb-krafters-korner] Splitters For mobile payment options

stupid question: Do you have to be hooked up by phone to use this?  I  have 
an IPhone 4, but no phone service on it.  I can use it with my WIFI at  
home.  
 
I guess it would work at home, but not out and about like doing a  show.
