Hi Terry,

Thanks so much for posting this cute sleigh ornament. I really like your
idea of posting things that you have had over the years. If you can't pass
them all on to the list, I would like to join the long line of others who
would really appreciate it if you would pass them on to me and everyone
else, off list. Thanks in advance for all of the things you are going to
send! I am looking forward to it.

Paulette

Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] Oldies from the korner

To the List,

I will post some oldies to the list that I have compiled over the years and
give credit to the ones who listed them, if I have it. Please keep a file on
these things as I will not repeat them and only hope I will not be told to
stop them. Below I will start with the Popsicle Stick Sled Ornaments, fast,
cute and easy.

9 to 10 Popsicle Sticks and more if using a back
Glue
Scrapbook paper in a winter or Christmas theme
Six strand embroidery thread in matching color
Aluminum foil

Directions
Glue 7 Popsicle sticks side by side by the edge to make top of sled
When dry, place on scrap paper and trace around paper and glue onto top if
desired, or paint sled a color or clear finish sled
Turn over and glue two sticks on the edge to make runners, glued on the thin
sides to bottom of sled
Fold and glue aluminum foil to bottom runners to make blades
Turn over on the top and cut a stick in half and glue to front of sled to
make a pull, allowing it to hang over a little on each side.
Braid the thread and glue onto the pull or make two holes on the left and
right of the pull to pull the end of the thread thru and knot on the bottom
Sled completed see below

Variations on sled:
Take sticks and cut in half and glue cut side down in a curve in back of
sled as a sled back, if desired.
Glue a small stuffed animal or doll or sled or a knitted hat and mittens in
mini and sled ready to hang.
Make a few, paint them red, or blue or glitter paint the top you can even
glue down fake fur on the top instead of paper, there is so many things you
can do with this cute little sled. Have fun and watch for the next post.

Terry K
