[Nfb-krafters-korner] Christmas book

Well, I really like the idea of fund raising at National Convention as we
have things that need to be paid for. I like the idea of doing a project
and putting it on a CD. We have enough great teachers who could do that. A
Christmas book sounds nice, too. Our convention is always during July and
it would give people lots of time to go through it and start doing crafts.
It may even generate interest in the Krafters Division. who knows? What
about the candy wreath, gum drop tree, and peppermint tree or wreath? what
about potpurri balls with Braille sayings on them? Does anyone know how to
do that? Okay, that's my two cents.

Regards,

Denise

What an idea Terry. I have started collecting them. I am just numbering
them as they come in, putting the folks name as they sign their email
[Terry K] and their email address.

We really do need to find a way to raise money for the division. Things
have changed and we have some things we have to pay for. So This might be
one of the ideas for a fundraiser.

Your opinion please: If we gathered something like this and put it on a
CD as a text file or something like that and sold it at convention or to
folks that wanted to purchase it. Do you think a text file would be good?
I
know Theresa and I have talked about doing a recording of a safety pin
project [just her and I doing it], recording it and burning it on a CD to
use as
a fundraiser for Krafters Korner. I don't know the technical thingy, but
I wonder if we could add text file or a few and the MP3 recording and sell
it at Convention or something.

Please do send me your thoughts on this. I would most appreciate it.

I will have a board meeting probably in January and explain all of this to
folks interested in attending the meeting. At this time it is a
decision that the board has made. One of the expenses is that we are
paying to
have the 4 broadcasting spots at Through Our Eyes.

Joyce,
If you officially start now and keep a file you will have a great book to
compile to sell at convention. You will get a lot of ideas here, they
started already, I love the Popcorn ball and the Puzzle and watch them
come,
if everyone posted one think how many you would have. I know I have at
least
20 and it would really be great if these were to do for vision impaired. I
will not post anything that is copyright protected but I do know on other
sites books have been made with dish cloth patterns and the like. Just an
idea but watch the idea come in from all our creative people.
