Hello Marie,

What to do with your seed beads?

Might I suggest you try making some bracelets or necklaces?
I use various different sized and shaped beads to create my bracelets and necklaces. Seed beads are pretty tiny to work with, but I have mastered that and will sometimes use the seed beads as spacers, placing 5 or so of them between larger beads. For example I made a bracelet with a combination of silver seed beads, 4mm turquoise rondelles, and 6mm round crystals. It was very delicate-looking. I taught a class awhile back where I used a spool loom to knit with wire and seed beads. Someone taught a class awhile back on how to make a snowflake ornament with small beads and wire. There are endless options and beading is a great way to be creative.

I recently purchased some new beads and memory wire.
One of the interesting beads is acrylic, white and silver, 19mm double-sided puffed flat round with line and circles. This bead felt like a lozenge to me. I got another similar bead in black and silver.
Then I also got laminated acrylic, white with black stripes 8x8mm cubes. I also got black with white stripes. These are a nice size for bracelets and I have used similar sized cubes in hematite to make bracelets with 4mm or 6mm round crystals.
One more really interesting shaped bead I got was acrylic, clear, 22x14mm faceted tube. this bead feels like one of those crystals you might hang in a window. I am going to use perhaps three or five of these beads along with smaller beads to make necklaces.

Hopefully, I can sell some of these. I don't wear much jewelry myself. But may have to begin doing so if they do not sell. <smile>

Cathy
