I recently saw a baby blanket crochet pattern on Lion Brand called something
like Hugs and Kisses.  The pattern makes X's and O's on the blanket.

The thicker the yarn, the faster you will be able to complete the project.

Hi everyone.
I have several people in my extended family who are expecting in a few
months and my grandmother aproached me about making baby blankets. I know
that the one that is due in June will be a girl, so that helps me with
color. Is there anything I need to look for to make sure it is okay to make
for a baby? Also, how long does it take to crochet a baby blanket?
