Joyce;
There is one positive side to this picture, you have all your grand children who can be your eyes, when you need them.
I have a 2 by 2 foot area, next to my bed where my shoes, slippers and slipper socks stay. If anything leaves this area, it is because I chose to take it to another room, like if I wanted to change my shoes in the living room for some crazy reason. This area is right next to my bed so my slippers stay in this area as I go to bed.
I have a designated area, in my room for my medications, too. My script talk is right there, if I need to check anything about my medications.
My Id Mate has a spot in the kitchen so I can check food labels.

Feal free to send all the questions you want, our way. Some of us have been blind for a short while and some have never had the pleasure to see. I am in the middle, since I have a little sight, but not enough to read, any more.

Your family and your KK family, are your back bone in this transition.

Take care.

Terry Powers

I lost my eyes for the second time on March 28. I can't find my slippers this morning. John would come up and look for them and tell me why don't you put them in the same place each night.

I bought plastic badge holders and clips, a while back. I also got the plastic labels from the NFB that can be put around a item with alastic bands or rubber bands.
My idea is to make a label for a brand and color of yarn and place it on a plastic tag. Then it can be placed in a plastic bag with the yarn or clipped on to the yarn label or if it is the alastic label, it can go around the yarn, itself.
After a type of yarn is used up, I thought the label could be put in a box and be used again or recorded over for a different kind of yarn.
I could even put on the label what I am going to use the yarn for.

So many ideas, but where do you get the eyes to get organized!
Thanks for the Pen Friend imfo.

Terry and Henry and also Sophie who would love a doggy sweater, some day!
