Hi Barb,

You can use cardboard, Styrofoam,                                         clipboards and bulletin
boards. Ceiling                                         tiles also work, as do firm pillows.
Basically, anything that you can poke pins into and put tape on that will hold your cord so that
you can more easily tie your knots.
