Yes, I've seen pens with a light that shines down on the paper to improve
the writer's ability to see what they are writing.  This product is
especially good for those with low vision who have to get so close to the
paper that they block out all light.  Unfortunately, I do not know if this
product is still made.

I love hearing about creative new products that go outside of the box.  It
is so great that there is a way for almost everyone to do almost everything
they want to do.  Not every product is right for everyone, but it is nice to
have choices.

See, in some ways, it is nice to be blind!  We can do in the dark, what the
sighted need lighted  items or a lamp or just their eyes to do!  Why don't
they learn to crochet or knit by tutch, like us and all this no nonsence
items would not even be in existence.
We are the only ones that can read in the dark or when the power goes out!  
Being a low partial, I still like light on in the room, I guess for comfort.
What are they going to come up with next?  A lighted sewing needle or a
lighted drawing pen.  I wonder if the pen might already exist!  They do have
sented crayons!

Some crochet when they are traveling at night time, also some will crochet
in bed when they can't fall asleep and their mate can't sleep with a lamp
on.
I think I heard they had light up knitting needles so next up is light up
