When I was looking for a new project to teach for Halloween, I came across this pattern that was all written out.  I found it on familycrafts.about.com.  I thought I would pass it on to all of you who are interested.  This one was for a Safety Pin that with seed beads that looks like a cross.

Use this free pattern to make beaded safety pin jewelry that looks like a cross.
·        Age Guideline: 6 Years and Up
·        Time Required: 30 minutes

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.



Materials Needed:
·        7 - 1 1/16 inches Safety Pins<http://familycrafts.about.com/od/craftstechniques101/ig/Crafters-Toolbox-Beyond-Basics/Safety-Pins.htm>
·        1 - 7/8 or 1 inch Safety Pin<http://familycrafts.about.com/od/craftstechniques101/ig/Crafters-Toolbox-Beyond-Basics/Safety-Pins.htm>
·        Seed Beads<http://familycrafts.about.com/od/craftstechniques101/ig/Crafter-s-Toolbox--The-Basics/Beads.htm> (refer to picture for colors needed)

Instructions:
Follow this pattern and the basic directions on the safety pin jewelry page<http://familycrafts.about.com/cs/beadedsafetypins/a/080700b.htm> to complete this project.

Each number column represents a pin.
·        Pin number 1 will have 3 light green beads, 3 white beads, and then 4 more light green beads.
·        Pin number 2 will have 3 light green beads, 1 white bead, 1 yellow bead, 1 white bead, and then 4 more light green beads.
·        Pin number 3 will have 4 white beads, 1 yellow bead, and 5 white beads.
·        Pin number 4 will have 1 white bead, 8 yellow beads, and 1 white bead.
·        Pin number 5 will have 4 white beads, 1 yellow bead, and 5 white beads.
·        Pin number 6 will have 3 light green beads, 1 white bead, 1 yellow bead, 1 white bead, and then 4 more light green beads.
·        Pin number 7 will have 3 light green beads, 3 white beads, and then 4 more light green beads.

When you thread these beaded pins onto your larger pin, start with pin number 1.
