            PEPPERMINT CHRISTMAS WREATH

Supplies Included:

1 Metal Ring, 8 inches

Christmas green curling ribbon

Childs scissors

Wal mart gift candy in amount of $5 for candy supply

Instructions:

1. Take metal ring and mark the starting point or top with a small
piece of scotch tape.

2. .Now take your prewrapped candy and place it on a surface that you
are going to be able to tie ribbon with, example at a table. Cut a piece of
the curling ribbon, if using this, or yarn, or what you are using to tie
candy on with and cut at least a 6 inch piece or more, if you desire. I like
to use curling ribbon because after it is tied onto the ring and all is
complete, I use a scissor and go back and curl the flat pieces that are
sticking out to make the wreath fuller. Some people do not like curling
ribbon as it is thicker to work with and would rather use a color yarn and
when complet tie the ends in a bow or cut off, these are your choices.

3. .Using the cut piece of ribbon, lay the ribbon flat and place the
twist of the candy paper in the middle of the ribbon. Take the ribbon and
make a knot, tieing the candy onto the ribbon, leaving two tails on the
ribbon. Example, candy should dangle or hang from the middle of the ribbon
piece, like a dangling earring.

4. .Separate the ribbon tails and start at your tape marker, tie your
dangling candy around the metal ring with a knot. The candy will be in the
center or top or side of the ring and will be adjusted as you add more
candy.

5. .Continue to tie candy and add to the ring all the way around to
the other side of your tape marker. Place as much or as little candy as you
like to make a full wreath. You have now completed the candy part of the
wreath, if you yoused curling ribbon, go back and curl your ends to fill
wreath.

6. .Take your childs scissors and place in space of center of wreath
and cut a piece of ribbon to be tied over your tape marker to the handle of
the scissors and tie both ends on, one end knotted and tied on tape marker
and other knotted on the handle of the scissors, so the scissors hang freely
into the center and can be used to cut a ribbon of candy off the wreath.

7. .Your choice again, take a few strands of the curling ribbon or a
large bow of a different color and if using curling ribbon, make a few longs
ribbon curls and attach over tape mark to completely cover and hand down.

8. .You can take a paper clip and open it flat and bend one end into
the back of the metat ring as a hanger, if desired, or not place on at all,
also your choice.

9. .Cut poem and attach also with a ribbon and your wreath is
complete.

10. .These wreaths make wonderful gifts and last year sold at auction for
$20 each, they are easy and fun to make and you can use any type of wrapped
candy as long as it has a twist wrapper. Some suggestion are Jolly Ranchers,
Hubba Bubble bubble gum , and Tootsie Rolls of different color wrapping.
Hope you enjoyed this project
