Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] Monday night chat pattern for snowflake

My instructions:

48 white pony beads, and about 1 yard of cord

string 6 beads onto cord. Leave a 2 inch tail of cord. Pass the opposite
end of cord through the first bead that you strung. This creates a circle
of beads.

Now add 5 beads onto the working cord. Pass the working cord through the
4th bead added. The working cord will now be pointing toward the circle of
beads. Add 2 beads and pass the working cord through the first bead in the
circle and then through the second bead in the circle. You will repeat this
pattern until you have 6 petals. Once you have completed this tie both ends
of cord together in an over hand knot and cut off excess cord.

Snowflake Pony Bead Pattern

48 white pony beads

1 yard of plastic lace or stringing material of your choice

String beads 1-6. Loop around and lace again through bead 1 to form a
circle. Beads should be about 2" from one end. Using other lace, string
beads 7-11. Loop around and lace back through bead 10. String beads 12 & 13
and lace back through bead 7 and again through bead 1, then through bead 2.
Repeat steps beginning with bead 7 for each petal. To finish tie laces
together and trim close to knot. secure with a drop of white glue.

Notes: The first six beads make a circle. What you are doing then starting
with bead 7 is to make an oval with a bead on the end for each petal. You
end up working around starting one petal from each of the six beads in that
original circle till you have six petals. You only have one working cord in
this pattern.
