I would do a tube scarf, if you want it striped.  The passing of colors
would be inside of the tube.  You could also make wide stripes and change
colors.
I can help with changing colors, if you want to do that, like if you want
one stripe at each end.

Blue, white, blue body, white, and back to blue is what I just did.

Hi all,

I am starting a new loom knitted scarf for my roommate's birthday and I want
to make vertical stripes in our school colors. I know the basics of changing
colors, but I'm not sure of how to carry the second color while I am using
the main color. In my mind, I see the carried yarn going behind the pegs as
I am using the main color, but wouldn't this create a weird effect? Thanks
for the help.
