I used this scale for making candles, lip balms, melt and pour soaps,  etc. 
 I needed to be able to measure things in grams and have a talking  scale 
to do this.
 
My only suggestion is be sure it has a flat place that you can put things  
on to weigh.
 
Sorry I forgot to tell you that Terry.  Some of the small ones when I  
first started looking had a bowl type that was not very large.  The one  that I 
had gotten has a steel bowl that can be attached and removed to use the  
flat base for weighing things.

Had to share this. Blind mice mart has a closeout on talking  kitchen scales
for $41.99 this scale is great for making measurements in  grams weigh for
perfume or any liquids you need to measure. Joyce uses one  in fragrance 
oils
measurements and I finally got one at a good price. They  also are
advertising regular weigh scales at a good price also, but had to  share 
this
price for anyone needing this small sale for  liquids.
