Thanks for your suggestions, I don't have a loom at this time. I want to
get a little training and see where my abilities and interests take me.
I'll give you updates as I progress. I am approaching retirement and am
looking for a useful hobby.

Dwight, I don't know how large a loom you are using. Winding the warp on
the loom is not complicated. You probably need a rack to keep the threads
from crossing or tangling. Then you need to be sure that none of them
breaks. But once the rack is set up, you just wind the threads onto the
loom. You will probably need to do one or two sections at a time, keeping
those already wound secure while you do the others. It is a simple process
in one sense, just easy to get in trouble because there is so much thread
involved. I suggest that you don't use many different colors for your first

projects, then you don't have to worry quite so much about crossed threads.
I haven't done this for decades, but I did learn the process. Rug weaving
is fun, but the looms take up a lot of space if they are large. If you have

the space and want a craft that takes physical activity, this is a good one.

Let us know how you get along.

Ramona
