Hello Everyone,

Listed below are the rules for the Membership Contest, released by the Board
of Krafters Korner at the General Membership meeting on Thursday, February
27,2014. Please read these rules, keep a copy for yourself and if you have
any questions please let me know and I will answer them or direct your
question to the board for an answer. Thank you.

2014-2015 MEMBERSHIP CONTEST RULES 

NATIONAL FEDERATION OF THE BLIND, KRAFTERS DIVISION 

 

The Krafters Korner Division of the National Federation of the Blind, NFB,
is hosting a contest to increase membership to the Krafter's Division.  The
grand prize will consist of 5 [Five] complete crafting kits to go with five
classes taught during our Christmas in August. All kits will be complete
with necessary materials with the exception of simple tools like scissors,
needles and glue.   Please note this Exception. If the Membership Drawing is
won by any member outside of the United States the award will be different.
Members residing outside the United States will be awarded a prize of Free
Membership dues for the next Three years. If the winner of the drawing is
not in the United States and they would like to accept the kits instead of
membership that individual would be responsible for all shipping cost of the
kits to be mailed to their place of residence, and not the responsibility of
the Krafters Division.

 

During the General Membership Meeting of the Krafters Division at the
national convention of the National Federation of the Blind held in Orlando,
Florida, a winner will be chosen from a drawing. If the Winner of the
drawing is present at Convention, the prize will be given to the winner and
it will be the responsibility of the winner to transport all kits home.  If
the Winner is not in attendance at the national convention then the winner
will be notified and the award will be shipped from Orlando, to the home
address listed for the winner.  

 

Official Rules:

 

1.  Contest will begin on March 1, 2014.  Memberships paid prior to this
date will not be included in the Contest.  

 

2.  The Contest will end at the close of registration at the 2014 National
Federation of the Blind Krafter's Division Meeting held in Orlando, Florida.

 

3.  When an individual has paid their membership dues for the 2014-2015
year, the name of that individual will be placed in the Membership Drawing.
You will be notified by the Treasurer (Cindy Zimmer) that your membership
payment has been received and your name has been placed into the drawing.

 

4. Individuals who wish to pay their membership dues at convention may pay
in person by the close of registration at the 2014 National Federation of
the Blind Krafter's Division Meeting. These membership dues will qualify for
the Membership Drawing.

 

5.   If not attending National Convention, all membership dues must be
received by mail or Pay Pal no later than June 26, 2014 to be processed by
the Treasurer to be included in the Membership Drawing. (There will be no
exceptions)

 

6.  If any current members refer someone to Krafter's Division and they
become a paid member during the said Contest period, the current member will
gain an additional entry in the Membership Drawing.   Anyone referring a
"New" member to the NFB Krafters Division, [New, defined as not a current
member from 2013-14] an additional entry will be written for the referring
person when dues have been received by treasurer.  The referring member name
can only be presented at time of application for new members and can not be
back dated.  The entries for new members will only be given on original new
member's application. Referral of name definition is "new person, submitting
application to join division, and must be a dues paying member when
application received"  If two New Members join, you will earn two additional
entries as long as they are new to Krafter's Division and their membership
dues have been received by the said deadline.  

 

7. The Treasurer will notify each person after receiving membership dues
and/or referral names of new members when dues have been received. 

 

8. As a thank you bonus, the Krafters Korner   Division will award the
member who referred the most new members to the division with a free year of
membership in the 2015-2016 year.

 

9. NFB Krafters Division is not responsible for lost or misplaced
memberships/dues. Rules are subject to change by the decision of the Board
of NFB Krafters Division and available upon request.
