[Nfb-krafters-korner] Question about boye looms

Thank you very much for the info from all regarding falling loom pegs, these
are very loose, most fall out of the looms if loom is tipped upside down,
I'll get some glut or try out the paper towels trick.
Very best wishes. Valerie

Subject: Re: [Nfb-krafters-korner] Question about boye looms

I had a peg come loose on one of my Cindy Wood craft looms. I contacted
her and she mailed me some pegs. I used my Aleene Tacky glue in a jar,
that
is thicker glue then their bottle glue and glued it in and it has been
fine for the last 6 months.

I actually used Aleen Tacky glue in a jar to glue a wood board in my
cabinet door. It kept popping out so the edge of the cabinet door would
come
off every time I opened that cabinet. Since it was the door on the corner

that had the lazy Susan storage I used it a lot. The glue is still holding

it in place very nicely and it has to be at least 3 or 4 years since I
glued it. I got tired of asking my dh to fix it.

Hi Valerie, yes the pegs can be loose and <sigh>no you don't want them
coming out when your in the middle of a project, trust me on that one, lol
Of the 4 basic round ones, I have not come across any reason for them to
be removable, a couple of things you can do is to take a piece of paper
towel, lay it across the peg hole, replace the peg, making sure the groove
is
facing the correct way, and apply firm pressure to ensure the peg is as far

into the hole as possible. At this point I would turn the loom over so that
it is resting on the peg tips on a solid surface and give it a firm smack.
Or you could glue it in with something like super glue or a silicone glue.
