[Nfb-krafters-korner] round or rectangular looms

Barb, thank you, that makes it all much clearer to understand, I so wish I
was more crafty. Yes, I am making two rows, then picking up the bottom loop
and drawing over the top one, I think it is just going to be practice that
sorts me out, feeling and finding the wool rings. I think I sometimes
accidentally pull the top loop off along with the bottom. It seems to me
that I need get the tension a bit better, too tight and it's a struggle to
get that bottom loop over, too loose and the stitches come off.
Thank you for writing all that out for me, I might just buy a rectangular
loom, maybe try smaller gauge, the boye seems to take quite chunky wool and
maybe I might be better practicing beginning with a thinner yarn. Best.

Hi Valerie, those are some great questions!
> 1. do you need both types of looms, rectangular and round?
you can do same and different kinds of projects on either loom, the
rectangular loom are commonly used as a knitting board where you move back
and forth from one side of the loom to the other side which forms a double
knit fabric. With the double knit you have no right side or wrong side of
fabric, both sides look the same.
with the round looms, you can knit in the round or knit a flat panel.
> 2. Can a round loom make everything a rectangular loom can make?
you cannot double knit on a round loom

correct
With your practice, are you e wrapping the whole loom twice then knitting
over or working one peg at a time?
