Hi Lily,

When crocheting, single or double or other stitches, the normal or default way to do it is to
crochet through both loops into the center of the stich. However, there are places in patterns
where you might find instructions that tell you specifically to crochet in to the front loop only,
or the back loop only, depending on what is needed for the pattern.
