Hi,
So sorry to learn about your struggles. I am so glad that you are on the
mend! I believe it may have been Lisa Maria who taught that class on easter
eggs. I took it also, but sounds like you are doing far better with it than
I did. Look forward to seeing you in some new classes when your health
permits! Those little eggs are tokens of kindness... and we all can use
more of that!
Jill

Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] spreading good cheer -- thanks for the
pattern

Hello all.
I've been silent on the list for months as things have been happening in my
life that have taken me away from the computer. I had a medical issue that
put me in the hospital for months and I am now in a nursing home/rehab care
center on a ventilator, with a trach in my neck and the whole bit. I am
able to adjust the trach so I can speak, though, thank heaven.
I have my laptop here with me and I wanted to report on something good that
came from a class on the krafters list.
I took the class on crocheting Easter eggs, and made a few, which I gave
away. Now in the care center I asked my mother to bring in a variety of
bright colored yarns and my crochet hook and I started making a basket full
of Easter eggs. I then started giving them away to visitors and to nurses
and aids. They've really gone over big. People love them. I let them pick

a color and then I replenish the supply by making more.
It's funny, but I think the nurses and aids are much nicer and more patient
with me after I give them their egg...;)
I also have gotten the pattern down to a science so they don't have the
mistakes that I made in some of the first eggs I crocheted. I stuff them
with polyester fiber fill.

Anyway, I thought I'd mention it and say thanks to whoever it was that sent
out the pattern.
Happy krafting all!
I'm going to investigate more of the krafter classes sometime.
Till then, have a great week!
