Hi David and all,

What loom is used for jewelry making? Well I taught a class to make a necklace using craft wire and
beads and I used the Clover Wonder Knitter. This kind of loom is what is referred to as a spool
loom. It is hard plastic and is shaped like a long spool. It has two removable disks on top so that
you can make items either using 3 or six pegs. the knitting comes down out through the center hole
as with a round loom. For my project I used three pegs, 28 gauge craft wire and #10 Czech seed
beads and some 4mm beads as accents. What you do is to string the beads onto the wire, then knit
with the wire just as you would with yarn pulling up beads to make a pattern.
This is not a difficult project for anyone who is comfortable knitting with yarn on a loom. You
just need to get used to using wire instead of yarn.
