[Nfb-krafters-korner] knitting with a lifeline: was Thedropped stitch query

It is a circular knitting needle with very thin points.  You can also use
some type of thread, string, yarn, lacing, etc. that you can thread on to a
needle of some type and pass it through all of the stitches on your needle.
Whatever you choose for your lifeline, you want to be able to easily
distinguish it from your knitted fabric/stitches by touch or visual
contrast.

Is there something uniquely designed for this purpose?  That is, is there an
actual lifeline or is it just a knitting needle?  Thanks.
