Is Henry going to Convention with you?  Then you can take more  bags.  I 
guess you need to check what airlines don't charge for suit  cases.  Some I 
believe you can take 1 or 2 free bags to check and you can  take carry ons, 
too.

You might  want to compare the cost of paying for a second suitcase to the 
cost of  shipping and any fees that the hotel might charge.
