[Nfb-krafters-korner] CinDWood Crafts Loom Choices

Minh, Cindy said the S allows for only double knit using the figure 8
stitch, and the Universal will allow for both single and double knit as it
has the extra pegs needed for single knit. Let Cindy know you are visually
impaired and she will put a tactile marker on the extra pegs so you will
know which ones to wrap when you single knit.

I will only single knit small projects on needles or pegs so the double knit
S will be just fine for me, but if you want the option and don't have
another loom in the gauge you want to purchase, the Universal is available
in I believe the same three sizes as the S. The 48-inch looks to be about
the same general size as a small gauge knitting board I have so I will get
that one, but there is a 36-inch as well as a 60-inch. The 48-inch will make
larger projects like full size afghans just fine.

Cindy said she has 67 looms in the collection now so there is a lot to check
out. When I've spoken with her she has suggested the 15-inch oval/panel with
center wedge as well as the 48-inch S or Universal for good looms with lots
of project possibilities.

HTH,

Karen

I really wanted to make it to the looms chat but I really had to study
for finals. I guess I can ask questions of those that were there. What
is the difference between the S loom and the universal loom? I want to
purchase one of the blanket ones to make afghans but I'm not sure
which one would be best.

Thanks,
Minh
