Hi all,

After that whole thread on kumihimo, I went and ordered the KumiLoom
kit from primitive originals and it arrived today. I got to setting it
up right away using the excellent instructions provided by Cathy James
on the website. I am absolutely hooked to this new craft and am almost
done with my first braid which I mounted on the key ring included in
the kit. I can't believe how simple it is to make such an elaborate
braid. I did use four bump dots (the ones that you use to make
appliances tactile) to mark the four compass points with the largest
dot being north. These additions helped me to keep track of my work as
well as be able to braid the flat eight strand braid. I definitely
recommend anyone that didn't get to attend the class to get this kit
and try it out yourself. :)
