[Nfb-krafters-korner] OT: sorting mail

Hi Terry,  a lot of the mail applies to both of us, so sorting  the specific
mail I need for me will probably work for kraft really well.   I now know
how to sort the mail and that is fantastic[ seeing my emails were a bit of a
messy grouping.  Thanks for the suggestion though.  Cheers Valerie

Why don't the two of you have your incoming mail go to different in boxes?
It would be more private.

Valerie,

If you are using Outlook, you can set up a rule that will automatically put
all of your Krafter's Korner mail in a specific folder.  For example my rule
is based on the subject line containing [Nfb-krafters-korner].  The other
person will not even know the messages exist unles they open that folder.
If you are using some other mail program, maybe there is a way for it to do
this ame thing.

HI, thank you for the info about email accounts Cathy, that sounds a much
better way than my set up.  Maybe someone could tell me if this is possible,
I think it is, but would love to know how to set up mail this way.   If I
wanted all craft emails to come in to the inbox highlighted  in a specific
colour, can I set this up and how could I do it?   This is mainly because,
at present, the computer I am using is a shared computer and the other user
has sometimes deleted messages, I have found them, but thought if a mail
from a certain address came in being highlited in another colour,  it makes
it easier for the other sighted person to not accidently delete my important

Hi,

I have more than three email addresses, all for different purposes. So what
I have done is to create rules so that outlook will place incoming messages
in different email inboxes for me. I can have a folder for each account, and
do, however, I have refined it much more than that. For example, with my
flowersandherbs account, I have a krafter's korner box, a loom class box, a
macramé class box, a friends box for other flowersandherbs mail. Then for my
other accounts I have other boxes,  such as a shopping receipts box,
different newsletter boxes etc. I also have different saved mail folders
fall different things. this way I can read what I want when I want. It is
easy to find things that way. the search boxes in every  windows 7 folder
including email further makes it easy to find what I want.

There are changes in Gmail, but I must say that I am so relieved that basic
HTML view is back. I wasn't able to read my email for a while when standard
view was the only view available. So things aren't all bad. <smile>

well, time to go check on some other mail.
