[Nfb-krafters-korner] Matching ends

I am making several flat panel projects on my loom. I have tried crochet cast ons and bind offs both using a crochet hook and the knitting tool. Despite which tool I use my cast on row is always wider than my bind off row even though I try to make the bind off as loose as possible. I need additional tips and if anyone can give me any bright ideas I would be obliged.
