I have a necklace someone gave me but she had made it so long ago that she
couldn't tell me how to do it.  I think it had crochet thread, as the #10
stuff, with beads not much larger than seed beads.  

I have never tried it but I think the idea is that the beads cause the chain
to turn as you make it because of the size of the beads.  I would really
like to make one of these.

Yes, I have done one using memory wire and beads and it was really pretty. I
have heard of these being done with yarn as well. I was thinking of teaching
several classes next year and this was one of the ones I had been thinking
about teaching.
