ROSES PATTERN
To Make:
Large Chain 31
Medium chain 24
Small chain 21
Buda
Samall bud chain 12
Medium chain 15
Leave a tail of working yarn of about 6 to 8 inches before starting chain
for sewing later. Chain 31. Row one: Dc in fourth chain from hook. Chain 2.
2 Dc in next chain space, chain one, skip two chains in prior row and in
next chain comtinue this pattern to the end. 2 dc,chain 2, 2 dc all in same
ch stitch, chain 1 and continue to end. Chain 1 and turn.
Row 2 Slip stitch thru first space stitch.Chain 2 counts as first dv. 6 dv
in same space for a total of 7 dc.SC in next space,7 dc in same space.
Continue this untul end of row and fasten off leaving a long tail.
Roll the rows over one another, going back to beginning, like a jelly roll..
Insert tail of beginning working yarn into tapesty needle and stitch the
starting chain row with working tail to hold together. When this is complete
feel and shape rose to how full or tight desired, you can add more stitches
to hold it tighter and leaving tails will allow you to tie rose onto other
form. If desired place one stitch on end of roll of rose so it does not
flap, if desired.
Size of roses will be determined by size of hook used and type of yarn used,
also the tension you use when creating this rose.
