Terry, I tried three times to make the roses you taught. They turned out
like spiral staircases. What am I doing wrong? I figured the way I was
sewing the bottom, so tried sewing north to south east to west over and
over. No go. So I tried just randomly sewing all different directions. No go
either, sy.  The crochet is correct according to your verbal and written
instructions. It looks like it should work when I role the  yarn and hold it
with my fingers. I just think the sewing is wrong. I am going in and out of
the chains on the bottom beginning chain another words. Guess I get an F
from the teacher, sad little face. 

 

Jake though likes the staircases. They look like cupcake toppers, giggle for
those who having seen a spiral staircase.
