Hello,

Well if you have been following along and have worked the first two rows you
are ready to finish the pattern on the next row. This will complete the
pattern and in step I will explain tomorrow how to roll this pattern into a
rose. If you have worked the last row, which was the double crochet row, you
will notice the length will start curving into a twist or just curving
around, tighters to the stat of the row. I hope you all understood the
double crochet row from Wednesday, and if you have any questions give me a
shout or come to the chat next Wednesday night, May 6 at 8PM and I will talk
you thru this pattern also, but follow along, here is Row two or three if
you count foundation row.

You are holding the chain loop on your hook and you are now ready to turn
the stitching to go back the other way. Before I give you the new row I
would like you to use you fingers and feel the last row you worked. What you
should feel is a line of stitches, with a large space, stitch and large
space. This space was created by doing the pattern of 2 dc, ch 2 2 dc all in
the same stitch, then chaining 1 and skipping 2. This space is what you will
now be making your main stitches into on this row. One chain loop on hook,
make another chain. One loop on hook, with your fingers feel for the first
large space from the following row. Place your hook into that large space
and yarn over to grab the working yarn and pull it thru the space and the
loop on your hook, you have just make a slip stitch, and have 1 loop on
hook. Now make 6 double crochet into the Same large space. The Slip stitch
counted as a dc making 7 thru the first space. Next make a single crochet
into the stitch on the top before going over to the next large open space.
Below is the repeat which you will continue to the end of the row, where you
will finish and cut and end the yarn with a pull thru of last stitch
completing the entire pattern. Repeat:

Into large space, 7 double crochet, 1 single crochet in next stitch, repeat
to end.

You have now completed the flat stitching of the rose pattern. Stop here,
put away your hook and wait for Friday's instructions on rolling and
finishing the rose pattern.
