[Nfb-krafters-korner] Rainbow Loom

My daughter has the rainbow loom and loves it. She also does a variety of
crafts with it and either uses them for herself or gives them as gifts to
friends and teachers. Personally I do not like the texture or smell of the
ruber bands.  She did try to teach me but I decided that just wasn't for me
because of the two things I disliked.

A rainbow loom has small pegs on it and you use rubber bands to create
different bracelets, animals, holiday items etc.  These can be hooked on key
chains.  

So about rainbow looms.  I am sighted and at first hated them.  The tool
that came with my kit I was never able to get ahold of the rubber band.
Similair to using a loom to knit, you place one rubber band on the loom peg
and it over laps with another rubber band.  You lift the lower rubber band
over the top rubberband.

I have made ballet tutu's, Christmas Ornaments, Pumpkins, boots, bracelets
etc.  Now that I have the hang of it, I enjoy using the Rainbow loom.  In
the beginning it was very frustrating and I even tried it under sleep shades
so I could teach this new craft to my students.  I could never get the right
rubber band or they would get tangled up.  Finally I watched a video on
Youtube.  They were using a different style tool and so I tried using my
Knifty Knitter tool and I was able to do it much faster and more accurate.
I even started to enjoy it.

I ordered a kit and want to try it out.

Someone at the Braille showed me what they look like I might have opened a
can of worms here.
