[Nfb-krafters-korner] Rainbow Loom

Definitely different colored bands. Not sure about words. We have purchased
some packages with charms that are worked into the "bracelets" to dangle,
just like you would expect a charm to do. I know they have neon colors,
pastel colors, variety packages, single color packages. I even think we have
seen scented bands. There is the rainbow brand and then other brands as
well. My daughter doesn't care about brand, she uses them all and looks to
get the best bargain for her money. Example - Target does not have the
rainbow brand and their brand is less expensive than the Michael's craft
store that is across the parking lot. (This is the shopping area near our
home that is accessible by city bus. I am not certain about what all store
locations carry.)

Are the rubber bands different colors? Are there patterns with words? This
sounds fun!

A rainbow loom has small pegs on it and you use rubber bands to create
different bracelets, animals, holiday items etc.  These can be hooked on key
chains.

So about rainbow looms.  I am sighted and at first hated them.  The tool
that came with my kit I was never able to get ahold of the rubber band. 
Similair to using a loom to knit, you place one rubber band on the loom peg
and it over laps with another rubber band.  You lift the lower rubber band
over the top rubberband.

I have made ballet tutu's, Christmas Ornaments, Pumpkins, boots, bracelets
etc.  Now that I have the hang of it, I enjoy using the Rainbow loom.  In
the beginning it was very frustrating and I even tried it under sleep shades
so I could teach this new craft to my students.  I could never get the right
rubber band or they would get tangled up.  Finally I watched a video on
Youtube.  They were using a different style tool and so I tried using my
Knifty Knitter tool and I was able to do it much faster and more accurate. 
I even started to enjoy it.

Someone at the Braille showed me what they look like I might have opened a 
can of worms here.
