That is a hard call to make, it will depend on what you want to do/make and any physical challenges you may have. Let me just say I still have some sight, at least enough that I can sort of see what I’m doing as long as I don’t need to pay too much attention to details, things get pretty blurry and kind of washed out at this point. I also have issues with my shoulders (muscle pains).

The kb super afghan is very lightweight but seems to be pretty sturdy, I’ve not heard much complaints about the quality of it. It is compact so you can set it on your lap to work on or pack it and take with you if your on the go.
The pegs are skinnier and closer together than the kk looms and do take some getting use to working in a tighter space but definitely doable, as I’ve said before I have a current wip (work in progress) on it now using it as a single knit. I have not tried doing double knit on it. One can use a single strand of  #4 worsted weight yarn or a #5 bulky yarn. I beleive one can use #6 super bulky if wrapping 2 pegs as one, but don’t hold me to that.

The cindwood universal s looms come in 3 sizes and at least 2 different gauges, can be used for both singlet and double knit, is made of wood with nylon pegs, the heads of the pegs are just slightly bigger than the heads of the kk pegs. Working the pegs would be pretty close to the same as working on a kk loom as far as feeling the pegs and stitches. I have the 60”, the largest one, and have tried working with it on a table and on my lap. It is a bit cumbersome for me personally due to my shoulder issues. I do not have the smaller ones so don’t know if they would be easier on me or not. This one is definitely not a pack and go loom. I do like the fact that I can easily either single or double knit, it does have like 246 pegs, so not much you can’t make with it, lol.
