[Nfb-krafters-korner] FW: charter members

I don't think we should limit charter members to Board members.  At least,
we should include everyone who paid dues before or at that organizing
meeting in 2008.  We could include those who paid dues by the end of that
calendar year.  Being a charter member doesn't really get you anything,
except more time to work and learn, but if sombody has been working for 7
years and feels good about being a charter member, I'm for it!  Some people
do more work than others, and we appreciate them, but all members are
valuable.

Lett's not start  making Constitution rules.  If I was asked after Ramona's
comment, I would sayChartered members are the board members voted in on the
first meeting.  They are the folks who stepped forward and help get this up
and running   Soon after the email list got started I decided I wanted to
find out how to make this into a division.  Joann Wilson and I spoke a lot
regarding this or it being [I don't know] a Group?  There are 2 other types
of things that come under Divisions.  I wanted this to be something more and
I wanted this division to make a difference.

It has been a long and growing project, but I think we are doing well and
hope we continue to grow.

If we state charter members as those who were there at the first meeting,
that will leave a lot out.
I am willing to say, charter members are those that were members when we
were declared a devision.
