The brand is "innovations".  I have not counted needles, but it  will make a
17 inch circle.  The tention is adjustable.  It will use only 1 to 4 ply
yarn.  The needles are hooks around the circumference of the inside of the
frame.  A carrying handle crosses the top and the turning handle is on the
side.  The bottom of the machine is open for the project to fall through.  I
will keep you posted with my progress.

Do tell us more!  What is the brand name and model of your machine?  What
kind of yarns can you use on it?  How many hooks, needles or whatever you
call them does it have?

I received a knitting machine... It is definitely a challenge.  Threading
the machine and bind off is confusing.  All I do between those two steps is
turn a handle.  A scarf was created in about 30 minutes.

Well, did any of you get crafty gifts for Christmas? My precious daughter in
law bought me a Yarn Drum:

This little yarn holder is about twelve inches tall, and 10 and a half
inches through the middle. It has a zipper all around near the top. The yarn
is put inside and fed up through a slot in the top. There is a zipper case
to put in needles, scissors, and whatever's, giggle. The bottom of the cloth
drum is water proof. When not in use, just flatten the drum and put back in
the plastic case.  

 

As we speak I have a ball of yarn in the drum. It pulls up sort of alright,
but best to pull up yarn first. I was thinking a cardboard something to hold
the sides up better will make the yarn pull up easier. As long as you
remember to pull up some yarn before you crochet, you will be fine.

 

The drum comes with the zipper needle holder and shoulder strap.
