Hi Lauren, Intarsia is a knitted design resembling a mosaic One must work with a few different colors of yarn at once. It sounds tricky to me, but I have never taken a class to learn how to do it, so perhaps it is easier than I imagine. It does sound pretty however. I made a mosaic design in latch hook years ago, and it was so pretty. Cathy F
