Just learning how to cut the plastic canvas is worth taking the class. I 
have wanted to be able to do that for myself and if you can do it, I can 
learn! Thank you. The scissors you mentioned, are they a special scissor? Is 
there something about them that makes cutting with your technique work? I 
have scissors. But, I realize there are different scissors for different 
tasks. Tell me more even offlist.

That is the problem, I don't really feel that with theplastic canvas kits
there is anything to put together as a kit.  I don't want to include the
yarns as it doesn't take much yarn to make.  The 1/4 " pompoms might be a
little challenging to find, but I found them in AC Moore 100 for $2.  The
most amount of anything you need is white yarn worstered weight

And I am sorry you feel that you can not cut the canvas, but I found it
quite easy and I have no light /sight at all.

I plan on making these and bringing to sell at Convention next year along
with Santa's buddy which I will teach in the Fall.  You can make these and
sell them locally, but do not sell them at the NFBConvention.  This has been
around for several years and I did gfind it online, but  the directions were
in pictures.  I was discouraged by Terry's advise about she could not cut
plastic canvas, but after getting these pointed folded scissors I went back
to the search for doing this.  With some thought as not being able to see
the pictures I started my real search as I just couldn't figure out how to
put it together.  Well all that searching around paid off and I found
someone selling them.  I have to say once I had it in my hands I got it!

I am working on a prototype right now to see if I can come up with a better
way of doing it and I will have that figured out well before the class.  As
last night I started doing it a little different and I think this will work
very nicely for folks with no sight.

I do have a way of cutting it that I feel will be helpful for the visually
impaired to do it.  So come to the class and learn something new.

I can't give all my secrets away now, then no one will take my class!

I am new to making up kits so please bare with me. Example of the pony bead
kit: You will get The pony beads red, white, ivory, pink & blackeach in it's
own bag.  I will mark each bag in large print or Braille to identify the
color.  Included in the kit will be enough grosgrain ribbon to complete
making 1 Santa and if you want a ring key chain  that will be extra.  With
the ribbon the way you begin will create a loop for a hanger to be added to
make it an ornament or hang on the key ring

I have taught similar projects at Girl Scout camp and kids from age 6 up to
counselors in their 20's have done this.

Would anyone be interested in purchaseing kits for the plastic canvas Santa?
I won't include the yarn in the kit, but The plastic canvas cut, pompom and.
You can cut the canvas and I have the perfect scissors to do it available
and really all you need is 1/4 " white pompom.  The eyes & nose are just
yarn French knots.  You will want to make a lot of these for the young & old
friends & family you have.  In the fall I will teach another one of these
classes so you will have a partner to go along with Santa.

The Santa pony bead class is not up as of yet.  She just put up my class
that will begin on August 20.  So she is working on the last 3 classes for
August.

I haven't set price on the kit as of yet  so hang in there.

I am a busy teacher this coming month.  I want to get all of you to run over
and sign up for my classes.

1.  Lollipop Angels-Aug. 5  2 PM & 8 PM phone class-small amount of
crocheting   I consider this a beginner's crochet class.[maybe I should go
and reread the directions.  Most important thing you need with this is white
yarn & large lollipop [like tootsie roll pop size] Aug. 10 8 PM phone class
No sew pillow or throw blanket.  Honestly, no sew!
You need sharp scissors & Pillo: 5/8 yd of fleece &pillow form or stuffing,
Throw: [2] 1 1/2 pieces of fleece
Aug 19-2 pm & 8 pm- Angel button ornament crocheted Aug 20 & 27 - 2 PM & 8
PM- plastic canvas Santa ornament  Come and learn how to make this adorable
Holiday ornament and I will show you how to add a special treat with this
one.  You don't need to know much about needle point to do this ornament.
Aug 26- 2 pm & 8 pm  pony bead Santa   I will sell kits with the supplies
you need for this.  Let me know how many you would Like I will have the
supplies in shortly after the beginning of August.  I also have Key rings if
you would like them  They are 1 1/4" with separating ring.
