Lauren;
Have you ever tried a walker.  I use a relater walker, which has a seat, when ever I get tired.  They can be baught on Ebay for about $125 where in a medical store, they are about $500.  My insurance only covered half for my first one, so we tried ebay and got a great deal.  I will try to find you and show it to you.  It helps to take pressure of your back and your legs and feet do not hurt as much.
With my walker, I can almost keep up with Henry and Sophie, four paw drive!!!
Check with the NFB or your chapter and one should be able to find some people to assist you in getting around.  There will be volenteers at the convention.
