When you turn in your banquet ticket, at the banquet exchange, request vegetarian and mark no dary.  
Is this the first time you brought up the topic of adoption?  Our chapter has a man who adopted 2 kids, now grown up, from Rusha.  I remember telling someone about him, before.
His name is Shawn Jacobson.
He would be a great person for you to meet.

That's fantastic and yes, I'm coming with someone who has been to convention many times. I'd love to help where I can. The only reason for me not to will be if there's an adoption-related thing going on at the same time.

Michelle I hope you can download the convention agenda ahead of time.  If
not, there will be Braille and print available  when you get there.    you
will meet lots of us at convention.  That's one of the wonderful things about going.  There will be a meeting of a parental concerns committee or group.  These are people who are blind who are raising kids.  I don't know how many get together, but you may find some interesting experiences there.
There are also quite a few people who have adopted children in the Parents of Blind Children Division.  

I hope you are going with someone who has been tere before and can give you pointers,.  If not, you can be connected to us by phone by the hotel operator.  You do need first and last names.  But don't be shy about calling.  

If you come to the craft show on Sunday and/or the exhibit room on Monday or Tuesday, yhou will find people representing the Crafters Division.  Then there is a business meeting later, I think Tuesday evening.  We will be looking for you.  And we can put you to work at the craft show and/or the exhibit room. 
States are seated in the general sessions in alphabetical order.  So you can look for specific people in there state delegations on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  It is a good idea to step outside of the room for conversations, but you can set times to get together or step outside. I am

		I am adopted by a single woman. Single adoption was legalized in 1963 and that is the year I was adopted from Washington DC.
I was raised by a mother and grand mother and they adopted many other kids and fostered many, too!
Most of us are handicapped in some way.

Please excuse the off topic but I'm going to convention and have a dairy allergy and am vegetarian which makes me basically vegan. I'm wondering if anyone who is vegan or who knows about where vegans can eat at convention could contact me off-list. I'm going to bring things for breakfast and lunch but would love to know about what to do for dinner.
