Her message ended up at the very bottom, after the closing, how strange!

Hi Melissa,
Are you also interested in making potholders on a potholder loom? Joyce had a Monday night chat on that subject a few months ago.
Google search for potholder looms, and I believe that you'll find a company located in New Hampshire that sells looms and yarn loops.
Hope this helps you.

Melissa,
I agree with the post about 100% Cotton yarn, like Peach and Cream. However, I add a caution. Dish cloths and those type of things are fine, watch out for pot holders, a 4 ply yarn is fine for light potholders. A 4 ply does not give great burn protection and uses to sit anything hot on. Watch your pattern for description of ply of yarn and also some acrylic yarns will burn and catch fire if they come in contact with a flame, which you would not know. If you are just looking for light use on homemade potholders you are fine, just be careful with heat use on some yarns.

I'm guessing that it should be 100% cotton?

Hi Melissa!
Any cotton yarn is great, and each brand name has different colors!

what's the most popular brand of yarn to make potholders, dishcloths, and such? I've found some patterns I'd like to try. If I'm successfull, I'll post them to the list.
