SK is used for skip. I think that is what she meant.

For those who crochet.

In researching the web I found a Easy and great pattern for those who want
to try something new, liked it so much wanted to share the pattern below, so
easy if you would like to try a Shell blanket from a baby to full size. If
you do not crochet, delete this here, but if you have any questions send me
a message. This is a summer thing for the quiet list. The Wavey Crochet
Afghan

Very Little counting, repeat rows and easy. Use any hook and any size yarn,
you choose the wideth and lengh. This is done in a 14 count pattern and can
be done in one color but looks cool if you do it in 3 colors, it is
reversible.

Make slip stitch, then make you 14 chains, do as many of this 14 as you want
wide, each time you make 14 start again counting by 14 till you have enough.
When you have enough stop and hold that last stitch. Add 3 chains and this
makes your turn, coming back.

Row 2 skip 2 and go into third stitch on hook with double crochet, make 3
more dc in same st making total 4. This row is made with same color if
making a multi color blanket. Now skip 3 st and in next st make sc in this
stich and make sc in next 6 sts for total of 7 sc. Sk 3 sts and make 7 dc,
which is your fan st in the next st. Repeat this pattern back to the end of
the row and you should finish with 3 sk sts and on the last st you place 4
dc or 1 half fan. Change color to color 2 on last st, trim first color and
crochet in tails as you do row 3

Row 3, Easy, sc in each back to beginning of row, making sure you crochet
over your tails. At end of row, last st is where you change to color 3, ch
one with new colr and trim previous color and remember to work over tails.

Row 4 and this is last one which is repeat of row 1, but I will write it
again. Chain 3 and place 3dc in same st. skip 3 and in next st make sc and 6
moe for total of 7, sk 3 and make 7 dc in next st. Repeat to end with last
stitch being the color change back to color one. And the next row is the sc
in each st.

That is all, 2 rows to remember, the sc row and the fan stitch row. Make it
as lon or short as you want, from a baby size to a long blanket. When you
end, end with the sc row and end the last stitch as you would anything you
do. Easy to make and if you miss count, just add or substract a sc of the 7
sc to make certain your fans are equal. Also you can count your fans in the
rows to make sure you have the same amount. Each row starts with the half
fan and next row is sc row is nest, this is a very easy pattern and once you
get the first few rows done you can feel the pattern. The only challenge is
the color changes, which you can make one color. However, if you next help
changing the colors, send me a message and I will send you how to do this,
it is quite easy but everyone changes color there own way, but if you need
suggestions on how to know if you are using the correct color changes and
how to do it, let me know.

H

Ope you enjoy this easy pattern and if you need a blanket quick and you want
to learn the fan stitch I hope this one is an easy one for you. If you need
help let me know, This is a free shell class for the summer on the list for
all the crochet people.

Terry K
