Hi Karen,

I have the Clover Wonder Knitter which is plastic and has two removable
disks with pegs. One disk has three pegs while the other disk has six. I
have heard that the spool knitter is a bit more difficult to work with in
that it has a thinner hole in which the yarn drops through. The wonder
knitter has a nice sized hole and even a hole on the side so you can put a
finger inside to check your progress and pull down the yarn if needed.

For those who don't know the spool type knitters are used to knit thin items
like purse straps or you can make wire jewelry with them as well.
