Well…the calendar says it is March 3rd, but there is snow that is blocking all our windows. When you step out of our cozy home..instead of stepping down you have to step up to accommodate the snow…and guess what there is more snow coming tonight..yes five inches!
This winter I have been crocheting. I started making adorable bags which are known as dragon scale bags. They are so cute.
I have also made several afghans. Ken’s mom in her last few weeks enjoyed having an afghan I was working on in her lap. She was unable to crochet any more, but she kept talking about how she wished she had made blankets for her boys. Well, I started making blankets for her boys. It is awesome to have something constructive to do while I work through my grief. The blankets are Jacob ladder stitches and are very textured. I am also working on a queen size afghan that is basket weave crochet style. It has triple crochets worked in to add texture.
I look forward to reading more emails.
