When teaching about Easter Eggs last Monday, we had a discussion on "How
long can I leave out eggs that have been hard boiled" Some said 2 hours and
other disagree and say many hours. I have done some research because I did
not know the answer for sure. This is what I have found and want to past it
on to those who were at the chat on Monday, it comes from the Food Network
and Food Safety Facts.

Hard cooked eggs Do have a time limit. The problem that is found in most
foods is that Sala Mena grows on all fords at room temps. Room temps. Are
rooms kept at 65 to 78 degrees. During this time this food problem forms on
foods at that temp. after 2 hours. If eggs are boiled that removed the small
protected area of the shell making them more to grow different bacteria,
therefore, these egg should be replaced in the refrigerator after being in
room temps. After ONE hour to keep them safe. Please think about this if you
are making Easter eggs this week and be safe.
