Lisa,

You can make a really nice pair of earrings with earring findings (my fave 
are lever-backs), jump rings, head pins or eye pins, and beads as well as a 
few tools. Have you shopped for beads yet? My zone is size 6/0  4mm and 
larger although I admit to have purchased size 8/0 recently for a project.

Write me off list and I can share with you what I know about a good go-to 
basic earring if that would help you get started. It can seem overwhelming 
at first with all the options. I think it is best to keep it simple!

Oh, it just came with a bunch of different kinds of clasps, some thread, and 
some little rings. The bead shop did not tell me any tools I would need for 
the class.
