How is your computer set up? For the F keys to function as traditional F 
keys, some brands of computers require you to also press the fn or function 
key usually between the control and Windows key. If you never use F keys, 
this could be part of the problem.

Interesting. I was taught to use  F6  and have never had a  problem.
However, we all use various technologies, brands,  web browsers, and a
whole lot more. The answer here is to help one another and get a  question
resolved.

That is why I told about my methed.  I had never heard of f6 and tried it.
I use control y, like I said in my e-mail.

F6 does not work all the time with Jaws, use Control Y to do this.

Press "F6"  until you get to the Folders option. You should be able to arrow
down until "Trash". It should be there unless you have emptied  all your
trash.
