The first tab took me to the lower ribbon and I never found it.

Try tabbing. I got to the folder list after F6 and a few tabs. I usually use control-y.

I used the f6 on the top row and ended up in the ribbon and arrowed around 
and did not find anything about folders.

I  just walked upstairs thinking about this subject. Did you use the 
Function key "F6"
On the top row?  I'm thinking a reason for it not working is  you possibly 
typed the letter F  and the number 6? If so, that is why it did not work.

Interesting. I was taught to use  F6  and have never had a  problem.
However, we all use various technologies, brands,  web browsers, and a whole 
lot more. The answer here is to help one another and get a  question 
resolved.

F6 does not work all the time with Jaws, use Control Y to do this.

Press "F6"  until you get to the Folders option. You should be able to arrow 
down until "Trash". It should be there unless you have emptied  all your 
trash.
