Well since you asked, I went and did a google search, these are the top crafting trends, String Art seem to be one, coloring for adults as in coloring books, modern quilting, die cutting machines, new for cutting fabric shapes, knitting and crocheting, popular are cowls, cardigans and ponchos, sewing clothes, up cycling, dying fabric, and stencilling.
