Bleach is used for gord and pumpkins to prevent mold and retain color.

How did you soak them in bleach while they are drying???
Does the bleach have any effect on the color of them?

When I was in Michigan they used to make bird houses out of gourds. I know
you had to soak them in bleach while they were drying.
